The Craft

From the slow hands of master artisans to the patient breath of aged blends — every Parimal fragrance is a quiet ritual, made the way it has always been made.

Our Philosophy

"We do not manufacture fragrance.
We cultivate it — one stick, one drop, one quiet hour at a time."

The Parimal Way

Four steps, one tradition.

Our process has not changed in over a decade — and not because change is impossible, but because perfection is rarely improved upon.

Step I

The Sourcing

Every fragrance begins with the earth. We travel to the farms, forests, and small distilleries of India to procure raw materials that have been grown and gathered the way they have been for generations.

  • Sandalwood from the slow-growing forests of Mysore
  • Roses hand-picked at dawn from Kannauj fields
  • Oudh from naturally aged agarwood, sourced ethically
  • Resins & herbs from trusted village suppliers, generation after generation

The Blending

Inside our atelier, master perfumers work with formulas refined over decades. Each blend is mixed by hand in copper deg, with proportions measured not by precision instruments but by experience, instinct, and reverence.

  • Hand-mixed in traditional copper deg vessels
  • Recipe formulas handed down across generations of craftsmen
  • No synthetics — every note is a real botanical or natural extract
  • Small batches ensure consistency and quality control

The Crafting

Whether it is an agarbatti rolled by skilled hands, a dhoop pressed into shape, or an attar drawn drop by drop into glass — each product is made one at a time. No assembly lines. No automation. Only patient, attentive craft.

  • Hand-rolled by artisans trained for years in traditional methods
  • Pressed dhoop formed without machines, shaped by touch alone
  • Attars decanted drop-by-drop into individual bottles
  • Quality checked at every stage by senior craftsmen

The Curing

The most important step is the slowest. Once made, our products rest. Agarbatti dry naturally, attars age in copper, and dhoop matures in clay — each gaining its true depth only through unhurried time. We refuse to rush what tradition tells us to honour.

  • Agarbatti dried for 2–3 weeks in shade for slow-burning quality
  • Attars aged in copper deg for months — sometimes years
  • Dhoop matured in earthen pots until fragrance deepens
  • Final inspection before each batch leaves our atelier

Sourced from where they grow best

Our materials travel from the soil where tradition meets terroir — every region of India offers something the others cannot.

Rose
Kannauj, UP

Hand-picked at dawn before the sun rises, distilled the same day for maximum oil yield.

Sandalwood
Mysore, Karnataka

From slow-growing forests where each tree matures over 30+ years before harvest.

Oudh
Assam & Meghalaya

From naturally aged agarwood — ethically sourced, deeply complex, irreplaceable.

Jasmine
Madurai, Tamil Nadu

Night-blooming jasmine flowers gathered before dawn for unmatched intensity.

Kewra
Odisha Coast

Pandanus blossoms from coastal groves, distilled into a light floral water.

Resins
Gujarat & Rajasthan

Guggul, loban, and other tree resins traditionally used in temple offerings.

Vetiver
Kerala & AP

Khus root grass — earthy, smoky, traditionally used in summer perfumery.

Saffron
Pampore, Kashmir

The world's most precious spice — used sparingly in our most premium attars.
